Measure up for Astro Turf

Before consulting a supplier you should determine what quantity of artificial grass is needed for the lawn. Astro turf is typically sold in widths of either four or two metres and lengths of up to fifty metres. The grass needs to be seamed down the entire length (the longest side) so you must plan your measurements accordingly. Several approaches should be considered when measuring for irregular shaped gardens. You may discover that using a greater number of smaller pieces reduces waste. Conversely, a reduced quantity of larger grass pieces could be more efficient.

Some good astro turf suppliers will offer a pre-sale service to measure your garden and price the job for you. This will prevent problems due to inaccurate plans when your artificial lawn installation begins.
